Band Booster Meeting Minutes

General Comments: We need help in the following areas (call John Sills at 951-1492 or Jennifer Fenrich at 951-4936) if you can to help:

  • Pulling the band buggy to festivals and games.
  • Helping to distribute drinks (water and juice boxes) at home games.
  • Helping to line the football field. (call John Sills)
  1. Fund Raising:
    1. Pasta Sale
      1. Sold during Stepping out (purchased 500 bags in advance) - 60 bags sold. Remaining bags will be sold throughout the fall during games and other events.
      2. Sold during VT GobblerFest - 6 bags sold
      3. Sold Outside Kroger's - 10 bags sold
      4. Student Sales in progress - ending on 9/11
      5. Sales of pasta will continue via the internet - see the website.
    2. Peanut Sales - coming soon in the fall.
    3. Silent Auction - date to be determined
  2. By-Laws development VA Incorporation Papers received.
    1. Next Steps - Federal Tax ID and non-profit status

    1. Current Balance - $ 11,020 (excluding student balance).

    3. Other information - shoes and gloves have been ordered.
      1. BHS is planning to purchase uniforms for the band this year - samples to be shown to the students and band boosters.

    1. Friday, October 16th - Football Game and 8th Grade Night. Thank you to Mr. Wilson on organizing the Pizza reception at the BMS cafeteria
